Cybersecurity Internshipby MAF Labs
Hands-on training across reconnaissance, defense, pentesting, and security operations. Pick 1, 3, or 6 months — beginner to job-ready. Train. Defend. Investigate.
Please read before applying
This is a paid internship programme — not a job offer. The internship is fully remote. A verifiable certificate is issued after the final assessment, along with (where applicable) a portfolio-grade case study. Successful completion does not guarantee employment with MAF Labs or any partner.
About the programme
What is the MAF Labs Cybersecurity Internship?
An internship at MAF Labs is a hands-on professional learning experience that puts you on real attack and defense scenarios under mentor supervision. You ship portfolio-grade deliverables — pentest reports, SOC playbooks, vulnerability assessments — and graduate with the operational discipline most engineers learn too late.
The Cybersecurity programme runs in three durations — 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months. Pick the depth that matches where you are and where you're going. Longer durations layer in offensive depth, forensics, SOC operations, and a capstone portfolio.
Why join the program
Build the parts of cybersecurity most curricula skip.
- 01
Real labs, not slide decks
Live (authorized) targets — DVWA, Metasploitable, internal CTF ranges. Every deliverable is portfolio-grade.
- 02
1:1 mentor pairing
Each intern is paired with a senior MAF Labs investigator. Weekly 1:1s, async review, walkthroughs of your exploits.
- 03
Offense + defense + forensics
Longer durations cover the full attack chain — recon, exploitation, post-exploitation, then SIEM, threat hunting, and IR.
- 04
Choose your depth
1, 3, or 6 months. Move at the depth your timeline supports — from focused foundations to capstone-grade portfolio.
- 05
Certificate + portfolio
Verifiable certificate of completion + a written-up pentest report or SOC playbook you can show employers.
- 06
Path to placement
Standout interns are considered for full-time roles or referred into our partner network.

FAQs
Common questions.
Which duration should I pick?
Pick by available time and depth: 1 month for foundations + first offensive labs, 3 months when you want offensive + defensive + forensics in the mix, 6 months for pre-placement comprehensive coverage including a capstone portfolio.
Do I need prior cybersecurity experience?
No. Tools like Wireshark, Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, FTK, Splunk are taught in-cohort. We expect command-line comfort and basic programming literacy in any one language.
Is this remote, in-person, or hybrid?
Remote-first. We run weekly synchronous sessions (mentor 1:1, cohort review) and async work in between. In-person sessions are optional and announced in advance.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes — verifiable certificate of completion at the end of your programme. You also leave with a written deliverable (pentest report, SOC playbook, or capstone portfolio depending on duration) you can show employers.
What if I need to cancel?
Full refund within 7 calendar days of seat approval. Email support@maflabs (placeholder) and we'll process the refund manually via UPI.
